IPTV favourites: build your channel list with My list

Thousands of channels, a dozen you really watch. How IPTV favourites work in Klyvo Play with My list: adding, ordering, profiles and the habits that keep it useful.

IPTV favourites are the shortcut between a playlist of thousands of channels and the dozen you actually watch. In Klyvo Play, favourites live in My list: add a channel, a film or a series, and it waits for you on Home, in the Live tab and on its own screen, in the order you choose. Each profile keeps its own list. This guide explains how to add favourite channels, how to organise them, what happens with several profiles, and how to combine favourites with the other ways of finding something to watch.

Klyvo Play is a player. It does not provide any channel, film or series: you connect the service you already have and are authorized to use, with its Xtream login or its M3U link.

Why favourites matter in IPTV

An IPTV playlist is often enormous: hundreds of bouquets, thousands or tens of thousands of channels, and as many films and series. Even with categories, scrolling through it with a remote takes time. Most people, though, come back to the same few channels every day — the news in the morning, a sports channel at the weekend, the children's channel after school.

Favourites solve that imbalance. Instead of navigating the whole catalogue, you open your own short list. It is the single most effective habit for a pleasant IPTV evening, especially on a TV.

How to add favourite channels, films and series

In Klyvo Play, the action is the same everywhere: Add to My list.

  • A live channel: select Add to My list on the channel, in the Live tab or while it plays.
  • A film or a series: open its details page and select My List.
  • Remove it the same way, or from the My list screen.

The change is immediate: the item appears on Home and in My list straight away, without reloading anything.

Where your favourites appear

  • My list, split into Favourite channels and Movies and series, so a long list of films never hides your channels.
  • Home, with a My list row next to Continue watching, for one-click access from the first screen.
  • The Live tab, where My list sits next to the categories with the number of channels in it — perfect for zapping between favourites only.

On a TV, that means you can switch on the set, open the Live tab, select My list and zap between your favourite channels without ever opening a bouquet.

Reorder and clean up My list

A list is only useful in the right order. Select Edit on My list:

  • × removes an item.
  • Hold and drag an item to move it to the place you want, on a phone or a tablet.
  • On a TV, the arrows ‹ › move the selected item and OK finishes.

Put the channels you open every day at the top. Once a month, remove what you no longer watch: a list of twenty well-chosen items is faster than a list of two hundred.

One list per profile

My list belongs to a profile, not to the device. On a family TV, each member has their own favourite channels and their own films and series to watch later, as well as their own Continue watching — see family profiles.

  • A Kids profile has its own list too, built only from the categories your service labels for children — see parental control.
  • Adult content added to a list in the Adult 18+ mode is only shown in that mode, never in the normal view.
  • Switching profile switches the list instantly; nothing is merged.

Favourites, Continue watching, countries and search

Favourites are one of several tools. Used together, they make even a huge playlist feel small:

  • Choose up to three countries so the catalogue opens on what you watch, with the rest still reachable — see organising channels by country.
  • Search for the occasional channel, film or series you do not want to keep in your list.
  • Continue watching for films and episodes you started — no need to add them to My list.
  • My list for what you come back to on purpose.

For very large playlists, the whole set of channels stays available through See all channels, with its own search — see managing a large playlist.

Favourites on a phone, a TV and a PC

The idea is the same on every screen, but the gestures differ. On an iPhone, iPad or Android phone, a tap adds or removes a favourite, and hold-and-drag sets the order. On Apple TV and Fire TV, everything is reachable with the remote: move the focus, press OK, and use the arrows to reorder in edit mode. On a Windows PC, the mouse and keyboard do the same job. Because each device keeps its own list, it is worth tailoring it: the living-room TV can hold the family's channels, while your phone keeps the news and the series you follow on the go.

What favourites are not

A favourite is a bookmark, nothing more. It does not record a channel, it does not keep a copy of a film, and it does not reserve anything on your service. If a channel stops broadcasting or a film leaves the catalogue, the favourite cannot bring it back. Favourites also do not change the bouquets of your service: they add a personal view on top of them, while Provider bouquets still shows the original categories, untouched.

Good to know about where favourites are kept

  • On the device: My list is stored on each device, for each profile. A TV and a phone each have their own list.
  • After the trial: when you activate the app on a device at the end of the free 10-day trial, your settings and favourites are kept.
  • When your service changes its list: a favourite points to the channel's identifier on your service's server. If the service removes a channel or gives it a new identifier, the old favourite may no longer open; add the new one and remove the old.
  • When you reset the device's data from the settings, everything stored on the device, favourites included, is deleted.

A simple method for a list that stays useful

  1. Start with the five channels you watch most, and put them first.
  2. Add films and series when you hear about them, rather than browsing for them every evening.
  3. Let Continue watching handle what you started; keep My list for what you choose.
  4. Use one profile per person, so each list stays short and personal.
  5. Clean up once a month.

FAQ

Can I add a live channel and a film to the same list? Yes. My list holds both, shown in two groups: Favourite channels, and Movies and series.

Are my favourites synced between my TV and my phone? No. They are kept on each device and each profile.

Can I reorder my favourite channels? Yes. Select Edit on My list, then hold and drag on a touch screen, or use the arrows and OK on a TV.

Why did a favourite stop working? Usually because your service removed the channel or changed its identifier. Find the channel again and add it back.

Can a child have favourites in the Kids profile? Yes. The Kids profile has its own My list, and it can only contain what that profile is allowed to show, so a child builds a list of their own channels, films and series without seeing anything else.

Does adding favourites change my subscription? No. Favourites are only a shortcut in the player; your service and its channels stay the same.
