Privacy policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Templates pending legal review — to be adapted per jurisdiction before launch.

1. Our approach

Klyvo Play is built on data minimization: we collect the least data necessary to run the player, we never sell personal data, and what you watch is never shared with advertising analytics.

2. What we collect

Account data (email, display name), device records (virtual device ID, platform, app version), encrypted source credentials, synchronization data you choose to enable (favorites, history, resume positions) and technical security logs (authentication events, activation attempts).

3. What we never collect

Your hardware MAC address, your source passwords in readable form, the content of your streams, or viewing behavior for advertising purposes. Private mode sessions record no history at all.

4. Why we process data

To operate activation and synchronization, to secure accounts (fraud and abuse prevention), to provide support, and to meet legal obligations. Each purpose has a legal basis under applicable data protection law (contract, legitimate interest or consent).

5. Encryption

Source credentials are encrypted at rest with individually derived keys and are masked everywhere in the interface. Transport is protected with TLS. Backups are encrypted.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while the account exists. Security logs are retained for a limited period, then anonymized. Deleted sources and devices are purged after a short grace window. Full deletion timelines are on the data deletion page.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, correct and delete your data, and object to certain processing. Controls live directly in your account: export data, delete devices, delete sources, delete account. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

8. Cookies & analytics

The website uses strictly necessary cookies only (see the cookie policy). If privacy-respecting product analytics are introduced, they will be opt-in, documented and never tied to viewing content.

9. Contact

Privacy requests are handled from your account's privacy panel or the contact page. We answer within the timelines required by applicable law.
