Delete your KLYVO PLAY data

KLYVO PLAY is a media player. It needs very little about you: no name, no email address, no phone number. What it does store is tied to your device — and you can erase all of it yourself, at any time, in under a minute.

Two ways to delete your data

In the app

Fastest
  1. 1Open KLYVO PLAY.
  2. 2Tap your profile picture at the top right to open the menu.
  3. 3Choose “Reset device”.
  4. 4Type DELETE to confirm, then tap “Reset”.

Your data is erased from our servers and from the device at the same moment. The app then starts fresh with a new identity.

On the web

No app needed
  1. 1Go to the KLYVO PLAY customer portal.
  2. 2Sign in with your MAC address and Device Key.
  3. 3At the bottom of the page, find “Delete my data”.
  4. 4Type DELETE to confirm, then select “Delete my data”.

Use this if the app is no longer installed, or if the device was sold, lost or replaced.

Where to find your MAC address and Device Key

Both are shown in the app: on the welcome screen before activation, and afterwards in the menu, under “This device”. Your reseller can also see your device’s MAC address.

What is deleted

  • Your device record: its identifier, platform, app version, name and notification token.
  • Your playlists, including the server addresses and logins added in the app or through the portal (stored encrypted).
  • Your licence and trial, and your activation history.
  • Your playback sessions and resume positions.
  • Every signed-in portal session, which stops working immediately.
  • On the device itself (in-app reset only): profiles, downloads, parental PIN, preferences and the IPTV logins saved in the device’s secure storage.

What is kept, and why

  • The accounting entry recording that a reseller used a credit to activate a device. It contains no name, no email address and no IP address, and we are legally required to keep accounting records.
  • Our activity log keeps the date and type of past actions (for example, “a device was activated”) to resolve disputes with resellers. On deletion, the IP address and MAC address are removed from those entries.
  • A single line recording that a deletion took place, with the device type only — no identifier, no IP address.

When it takes effect

Immediately. There is no waiting period and nothing to confirm by email. Once done, it cannot be undone: a paid licence on the deleted device cannot be restored.

What we never had

No advertising data: we do not use advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share your data.
