When you subscribe to an Xtream-compatible service, it usually sends you two things: a set of login details and an M3U link. Both give access to the same channels, films and series. The difference is in how they are written.
The Xtream login
Three pieces of information:
- a server URL — for example
http://server.example:8080; - a username;
- a password.
This is the most direct way to connect. In Klyvo Play, enter the three fields under Connect your source: the app then loads your live channels, films and series, each in its own section.
The M3U link
A single, long address. For an Xtream-compatible service it looks like this:
http://server.example:8080/get.php?username=YOUR_NAME&password=YOUR_PASSWORD&type=m3u_plus
Look closely: the server, the username and the password are all inside the link. Klyvo Play reads them from it — so an M3U link from an Xtream-compatible service works just like the login.
Which one to choose?
- You have the three details? Use them — it is the simplest.
- You only have the link? Use it; Klyvo Play extracts the details itself.
- Your provider manages your device? Give it the device address and Device Key shown in the app: it can attach your playlist for you, and the app picks it up on its own.
Klyvo Play reads Xtream-compatible sources. A plain M3U playlist file that does not come from an Xtream-compatible service is not supported.
Where do my details go?
Details you enter in the app are kept in the system keychain on your device and, so that each launch finds your playlists again, stored encrypted on our servers — like those added on the customer portal, never shown in full again.
