A live channel that keeps loading, a picture that freezes in the middle of a programme: IPTV buffering and freezing are frustrating, but they almost always have one of three causes — your home network, your source, or a line used by too many devices at once. Here is how to find which one, the fixes that work, and what Klyvo Play already does on its side.
Klyvo Play is a player. It does not provide any channel, film or series: you connect the Xtream-compatible service you already use and are authorized to use.
1. Find the cause with the stream test
Before changing anything, open Settings → Connection & stream test and run it. It measures your Internet connection and a few seconds of a real channel from your source, then tells you which side is the weak link and whether to watch in 4K, HD or SD. Full explanation: test your connection for 4K, HD and SD.
2. Fix buffering on your home network
- Prefer Ethernet for a TV or a box: a cable is steadier than any Wi-Fi.
- On Wi-Fi, use the 5 GHz band when the device supports it, and keep the router close and unobstructed.
- Restart your router (unplug it for about 30 seconds): it clears a lot of slowdowns.
- Pause heavy downloads and video calls on other devices while you watch live TV.
- Lower the quality: if the test says HD may cut out, watch the SD version of the channel when your source has one.
3. One line, one stream — and not too many requests
Many services allow one stream at a time per line. If another phone, TV or box uses the same login, the provider may refuse the second stream — the stream test then reports “Line busy”. Stop playback on your other devices. Keep in mind that watching two channels side by side with Multi-Live opens two streams.
Providers also protect their servers against floods of requests: a device that fires too many at once can see its address blocked. Klyvo Play is careful here — it sends at most 3 requests at a time to your provider, and no more than 4 per second, and it does not immediately repeat a request the server has refused. If you use several apps or devices on the same line, avoid reloading everything at the same moment.
4. What Klyvo Play does against freezing
- A generous live buffer: live channels open with 8 seconds loaded ahead. A channel that stutters moves to 20, then 30, then 40 seconds ahead, and keeps that depth while the app is open.
- Automatic reconnection: when a channel stops sending data, the player shows Reconnecting… and retries on its own, with a Try again now button.
- A second way in: a channel that won't open one way gets a second chance through its other stream format before any error is shown.
5. Choose your live TV buffer
In Settings → Playback → Live TV buffer, three options are available:
- Automatic (recommended): channels start fast; a channel that stutters moves to 20, 30 then 40 s ahead and keeps it.
- Reinforced — 20 s: 20 s ahead from the start, up to 40 s if needed; channels take a little longer to appear.
- Maximum — 40 s: 40 s ahead on every channel — the safest against cuts, the slowest to appear.
A buffer absorbs an uneven connection, but it cannot invent data your source does not send: if the stream itself stops, or the line is busy, only your provider can fix it. For films and series, Settings → Playback → Video quality offers Automatic, Data saver, Standard and Highest.
FAQ
Why does a channel freeze when others play fine? That channel's stream is often the issue at the source. Try it again later, or a version in another quality.
Should I always pick the Maximum buffer? Only if your connection cuts often: a deeper buffer means a longer wait each time you change channel.
The test says my connection is good but my source is slow. What now? Contact your provider — the issue is on the source's side, not in the app. Plans for the app itself are on the pricing page.
